At sixteen, filmmaker Jelmar van Belle was given up on by his doctors after an intense battle with leukemia. Against all odds, his life was saved by an anonymous bone marrow donor. Twenty-five years later, in an attempt to better understand his illness, death, and life, he sets out to discover who his anonymous bone marrow donor was. As he searches for answers, his body threatens to let him down after all, as he begins to suffer the late effects of his treatment.
