For a long time, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS gave direction to our thinking and actions, but how do we relate to them, to each other and to the complex society we live in nowadays?

Ten makers of varying backgrounds, age and experience, went in search of the deeper meaning of these ancient rules, which are contrasted with our multicultural, globalized and secularized world. The result has become a series of ten very different documentaries, in which each film treats one commandment in its own unique way. The films touch contemporary themes such as post-colonialism, identity, friendship, addiction, morality, man’s influence on nature. As a whole, the series constitute a call to freedom.

The series is a DOXY coproduction with EOdocs, international sales by First Hand Films.
